L’Escalier Bleu 2022 is an anniversary blend from Takahata, made from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grown in Takahata, Yamagata. It matures for 24 months in barrel, with 36% new oak. Takafumi Hara's label draws on his “Stairs” series.
Blueberry and plum meet chocolate, coffee and vanilla. The palate offers a medium body, a supple texture and rounded tannins, with a long finish.
