Takahata
L’Ogre Rouge 2020
L’Ogre Rouge 2020 by Takahata is a powerful red blend from Yamagata. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot are vinified and matured separately. Small, fully ripe berries give the wine its concentrated fruit, complemented by spicy, toasted notes from 24 months of barrel ageing.
Ripe plum and blackberry aromas are accompanied by black pepper, vanilla and toast. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated. Powerful tannins give the wine a firm structure and carry the long finish.

Ageing potential is a guide, not a guarantee of shelf life. Development depends on the vintage, individual bottle and cool, dark storage at a steady temperature. Please ask us for advice on drinking maturity.
