Lumière
Ishigura 2023
Ishigura 2023 from Lumière is a fruit-forward red from Yamanashi, led by Muscat Bailey A. Its distinctive feature is fermentation in an underground granite vat in the winery's 1901 fermentation facility, registered as Japanese cultural heritage since 1998. Cool groundwater helps regulate the fermentation temperature naturally.
Fresh strawberry aromas lead to a palate of juicy fruit, lively acidity and soft tannins. The result is an approachable red wine with a fine structure.
