Takahata
Wagatsuma Shigeharu 2021
Wagatsuma Shigeharu 2021 from Takahata is made from Bijou Noir. The grapes come from contract grower Shigeharu Wagatsuma's vineyard in Takahata, Yamagata. After fermentation, the red wine matures for 27 months in oak, with 33% new barrels.
Blackcurrant, plum and raspberry meet delicate spice. The palate offers concentrated fruit and powerful tannins. Its medium-to-full body and long barrel ageing give it depth and a spicy character.
